I hope you’ll return to New London for Sailfest, Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th. Next time you’re in NL if the water taxis are ruining go over to the Groton side of the Thames and eat at Pauls Pasta make sure you sit on the deck over looking the river and you can see the NL skyline.

I’m guessing the ferry doesn’t get close enough to race rock lighthouse. Probably one of my favorite lighthouses in that area.

Very enjoyable video but it does highlight some limitations of the Shoreline route: sharp curves, movable bridges and the occasional grade crossings.

Great video. The restaurant hosts a rail fan camera that shows Amtrak activity on map and station stops. You need a wind screen for breezy days. Thankis for ALL of your videos and commentary!

That ferry was in service down in Cape May. I spend a few days in Wildwood with my wife and young kids. I would take the ferry over to Lewis De. Trip would end in Seaford to visit mom and dad. I also stop in to see my sister.

When I see a relative in Rhode Island, I usually rent a car there and drive down to New London to take the boat over to Orient Point. Hate the traffic trying to get to Long Island going around the Sound thru New York. I have also taken the train from Rhode Island to New London as well.

Was in New London CT two weeks ago. Decided to take the ferry for the trip back to PA. Definitely worth it. I was surprised how busy the station is. It kept me occupied while waiting to depart

That Shoreline East reminds me of Metro North New Haven Line.

The last two times I took the Orient Point Ferry, New London was not yet electrified. I saw EMD F40s stopping there. On somber notes during each of those last two times, I got news that somebody famous died. In August of 1997 it was Princess Diana. In July of 1999, it was John F. Kennedy Jr.

The SL-5 cars are products of Hyundai-Rotem, not Kawasaki (Subway-Surface, Media-Sharon Hill, and Broad Street Subway cars are Kawasaki). As for the Williamson School station building, SEPTA should allow the Williamson College of Trades (when I was growing up in Aston, which is right next to Wawa and Lenni, it was called Williamson Free School; tuition is free for those who get accepted there, although I attended Pennsylvania Institute of Technology near the Moylan-Rose Valley Station) to restore that building as a way to apply what they're learning there (which includes carpentry).

just did a rear view ride NYP to Boston Back Bay. was not able to stand in the back because the conductor said it was a safety hazard but he let me keep my suction cup mounted there. because I wasn’t constantly monitoring the footage the quality could have been better but it’s still definitely usable. was gonna film until South Station but they told me to take it off so as to not interfere with the turnaround.

Can you tell me why all the silver liner 5s when they break they make that whining sound? They spend so much money on these cars. And the brakes do that! I was in media the other day driving past the station and one was pulling in making that whining noise.

Good Saturday afternoon to you Tim. Another great Philadelphia video. I watch all your content and have a question for you. Today someone posted a video titled the longest video of a system you cannot film it was about the path train. Is that true not allowed to film it? A few years back action kid was riding it back from Jersey City and filmed it. That's a shame could be some interesting video why would they have such restrictive regulations?

Those old Budd cars had no AC. It was brutal having hot air blowing on you. When the new cars arrived with AC I no longer needed to go to center city. I became a car operator. I don't know if having a car today makes any sense. I'm retired at 55 seven years now and I get most of the things I need delivered. Love your videos!😊

U.S 202 goes everywhere, lol! I live near it, but take it long enough you could end up at most of the New Jersey Transit Lines, the Danbury Mall, the King of Prussia Mall and a lot of New England. Got to love 202!
